It is strongly basic and adsorbs readily to untreated glass and plastic - a genuine practical problem at low working concentrations, where material loss to container surfaces can be significant. Low-binding tubes or a carrier protein are standard precautions.
The sequence contains an oxidation-sensitive methionine at position 17 and is amidated at the C-terminus, both confirmed at lot release.

Vials arrive lyophilized and sealed under nitrogen. Bring the vial fully to room temperature before breaking the seal — opening a cold vial condenses atmospheric moisture onto the cake.
Direct diluent gently against the inside wall of the vial rather than onto the cake, and allow the material to dissolve without agitation. Vortexing shears longer sequences and introduces air.
