Sermorelin is the unmodified 1-29 fragment of human growth-hormone-releasing hormone, amidated at the C-terminus. It is the shortest fragment of GHRH that retains full receptor activity, which is why it became the reference sequence for the class.

Unlike CJC-1295, Sermorelin carries no stabilising substitutions, so it is the more labile of the two in solution and the more sensitive to handling. It serves as the native-sequence comparator in most GHRH-receptor work.
The single methionine residue at position 27 makes it susceptible to oxidation; keep vials sealed and desiccated until the point of use.

Vials arrive lyophilized and sealed under nitrogen. Bring the vial fully to room temperature before breaking the seal — opening a cold vial condenses atmospheric moisture onto the cake.
Direct diluent gently against the inside wall of the vial rather than onto the cake, and allow the material to dissolve without agitation. Vortexing shears longer sequences and introduces air.
