The sequence is unusually acidic - it carries a high proportion of aspartate and glutamate residues, giving it a low isoelectric point and excellent aqueous solubility relative to peptides of similar length.
The N-terminal acetylation is present in the native molecule. Confirming it by identity assay, and resolving any deacetylated material by the release HPLC method, both depend on a per-lot certificate that is not yet available for this lot.

Vials arrive lyophilized and sealed under nitrogen. Bring the vial fully to room temperature before breaking the seal — opening a cold vial condenses atmospheric moisture onto the cake.
Direct diluent gently against the inside wall of the vial rather than onto the cake, and allow the material to dissolve without agitation. Vortexing shears longer sequences and introduces air.
