Tesamorelin is a synthetic analogue of the complete 44-residue human GHRH sequence, modified with a trans-3-hexenoyl group at the N-terminus.

It is the longest GHRH-family sequence in the catalogue - 44 residues against Sermorelin's 29 - and at roughly 5136 g/mol it is also among the highest molecular weights stocked.

The N-terminal acylation protects against dipeptidyl peptidase cleavage, which is the primary degradation route for unmodified GHRH fragments in serum-containing assay conditions.
